About Us

Who are we?

We are members of the Community Rail Network - a movement made up of community rail partnerships and groups across Britain - and also a member of Railfuture, the UK’s leading independent organisation campaigning for better rail services. We are also a consultative member of the Derbyshire CC bus service strategy review group.

The group was originally established to improve travel services and facilities for members of the community as a result of the Chinley, Buxworth and Brownside Parish Plan. The group is entirely made up of volunteers and has no political affiliation whatsoever.
