CBTG helped the High Peak and Community Rail Partnership put together a bid for Access for All funds to be allocated for the improvement of the terrible access at Chinley in April 2022. Robert Largan MP presented a petition in Parliament to this end in May 2022.

Prior to this, together with the then MP, Ruth George (now DCC Councillor for Whaley Bridge), we launched a petition in the House of Commons for better access at Chinley in 2018 - we were however not favoured with funds when the list of 73 stations to be improved was announced in April 2019.
