Whether walking through Chinley or cycling around the High Peak, one thing you can't fail to notice is your proximity on many occasions to heavy and very heavy vehicles - agricultural, industrial and of course large SUVs.

One area of road safety that Transport for London has been working hard on is the reduction of accidents resulting from lethal blind spots.

Recent statistics from TFL have shown that since London introduced the world's first Direct Vision Standard (DVS) for HGVs in 2019, on average six fewer people have been killed per year.
