Many people travel regularly from Chinley into Manchester for work, shopping, leisure - and although Chinley is outside the TfGM area, Transport for Greater Manchester's Bee Network is definitely relevant, not only when travelling within Greater Manchester, but also as a model.

TfGM's aim is that eventually, the Bee Network will be a one-stop shop for all journeys using public transport and active travel – walking, cycling or wheeling, making them in its words:

Great value, with capped fares and flexible tickets

Accessible, with improved passenger information AND TfGM is working towards

A new combined bus and tram ticket.

Low bus fares being extended until 2024.

A contactless payment trial for some local train journeys in 2025.
