Who's in charge of what at the DfT?

Lord Peter Hendy of Richmond Hill CBE* is the new Minister of State at the Department for Transport.

His brief includes the accessibility of the rail network - one of the main areas of interest for the Chinley and Buxworth Transport group.

The DfT announced on the 24th May 2024 that Chinley is on the list of 50 stations nationwide selected for Access for All funding - so watch this space !!

* NB There is another member of the House of Lords with surname Hendy - but that person is John Hendy
