Chinley is on the list of 50 stations just identified by the DfT for upgrading to  Step Free Access. CBTG has been campaigning for this for over 15 years....

As regards the suitability of Chinley station for access improvements, between 2017 and 2020 CBTG worked with Network Rail, Derbyshire County Council and High Peak Borough Council to secure funding for a proper DfT compliant, industry standard GRIP report to be carried out at Chinley so that viable options would already have been identified should Chinley appear on the DfT's list.
